Just 15 minutes north of the George Washington Bridge, Alpine Scout Camp is tucked away in the beautiful woodlands of the Palisades. Alpine Scout Camp is over 700 Acres of wooded camping property.
Donated to the ‘Boy Scout Foundation of Greater New York’ by philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, Jr. in 1940, for the purpose of establishing a weekend camp for the New York City Boy Scouts.
Offering short-term camping to Scouts and families and a selection of facilities to suit groups’ needs. Tent sites, lean-to, and cabins are available, as well as a conference center with lodging for over 40 people.
