This is a fun opportunity to be part of a NYC tradition and provide much-needed service. Troop 23 has always been well represented and we expect tomorrow will be no different. The weather forecast is looking absolutely beautiful. The runners will need all the help they can get. (We will also get a chance to give a big cheer to Ms. Ngai as she zips by us.) This event to not just for scouts; adults are welcome.

NYRR should be providing customary poncho. No worries about Class A or B. I highly encourage you to wear a Troop 23 baseball cap.

Please register As Soon As Possible so this NYRR organizer can get an accurate count to appropriately plan resources. When you go to select the Group you represent, please select "Boy Scout Troop #13 and #23". We want a strong representation from T23. Yes, parents, siblings, friends, etc. can come and help. Yes, you can drink all the water and Gatorade you desire. (I really hope they give us another warm hat to add to my collection.)

Follow these directions to register.

Note that registration is open and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Log into your NYRR profile to register today.

Historian's notes

Yesterday was the November Marathon which was from 6:30-2 P.M. After getting fitted into our respective orange and white attires, we set up 3 stacks of water/gatorade cups for the runners of the first wave. There were a total of 5 waves, and we had to restock the cups each time, but it was amazing to see the Running enthusiasm of all who came out that day! This selection also includes T23 with Ms.Ngai showing amazing determination for this journey. It was overall a great volunteer experience with the community.
