When and Where

When: May 27, 2024
Timeline: 10:30 am — 1:00 pm

Location: 3rd Ave and 76th Street, Bay Ridge, Brooklyn

This is the 157th Kings County Memorial Day Parade, making it the longest continually running Memorial Day Parade in the United States.

Our troops will be there. We need to have a great showing. Reminder that Memorial Day is a federal holiday for a specific and solemn purpose, honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while servicing the United States armed forces.

The parade steps off at 76th Street & 3rd Avenue at 11:00 AM, but the troop should be there half an hour earlier and concludes with a ceremony inside John Paul Jones/Cannonball Park on 101st Street off 4th Avenue/Shore Road.

This event is MANDATORY.

Please come in full Class A uniform and please inform the SPL or ASPL if for whatever reason you won't make it.

For those who embarked on the backpacking challenge this weekend, we applaud your success. Backpacking in Harriman State Park isn't easy. Along the way, you gained a range of skills and knowledge. Most important are putting yourself outside of your comfort zone, preparation you conducted to ensure succeed and exercising leadership and working together. You founds way to enjoy each others company, including meeting Casper and performing an original skit. Next meeting, we are happy to hear your feedback on what the troop could have been done.
