When and Where

When: October 26, 2024
Timeline: 3:00 pm — 9:00 pm

This Saturday, October 26th, Troop 23 will be participating in the 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat Halloween Festival, hosted by The 5th Avenue BID in collaboration with Brooklyn Bridge Parents. Our troop will be volunteering in the popular Trunk or Treat portion from 3 PM to 7 PM.

As a troop, this is our second year supporting this lively community event, and we’re excited to build on last year’s success – many thanks again to Tom, Soo, and Liam for all their continued dedication and help in organizing this!

Troop 23 will be setting up the Scary Ambulance, distributing candy, welcoming the neighborhood kids, managing crowd control, and helping with cleanup. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the positive impact of youth volunteers and help recruit new scouts and adults into our troop. Scouts don’t have to volunteer the entire time, but we appreciate everyone’s participation as much as they can. For those who can stay for the full three hours, your support will be very helpful.

Scouts are encouraged to come in costume, but if that’s not possible, please wear your Troop 23 sweatshirt and green pants as the default attire. You’ll also be able to enjoy the rest of the festival once your volunteer shift is done!

Some adult leaders and parents will arrive by 2:30 PM to help set up. We’ll be keeping track of everyone’s service hours (remember, there’s no such thing as “too many” service hours), and this will be a fun and festive event to represent Troop 23 in our community.

Location details are on the map – we look forward to a successful and spooky Trunk or Treat!
