When and Where

When: August 4-6, 2023, 2:00 pm — 1:00 pm
Nights: 2

This trip is the third in a series of trips to prepare the scouts for this summer's 5-day Adventure Trek. This trip is focused on the backpacking element of the Trek. This is an opportunity to get things, such as the "Trail and backpacking meals" requirement for the Cooking Merit Badge done.

The original trail is an 18.3-mile out-and-back trail near Cornwall, Connecticut. Generally considered a challenging route. This is a popular trail for backpacking, birding, and camping, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are March through October. Elevation gain: 3,389 ft.

We adjusted it to fit our requirements.
